Arches National Park Poster Print — Black & White Design

A woman in 1950s swimwear stands, hand on hip, gazing at an arch that is barely there — a dozen loose rust-red brushstrokes, a grey mesa smudge, one agave plant. Where the other Arches design shouts in orange, this one whispers in ink and negative space, closer to a fashion illustration in a sketchbook than to a park poster. The cream ground is most of the picture, and that is the point. The black frame is the only finish with enough line to match the inkwork; wood would sentimentalise it. Hang it small and alone, 11×14 in or 12×18 in — a dressing room, bathroom or quiet bedroom — with empty wall around it as part of the composition.
