Venice Carnevale Poster

Carnevale gets the full theatrical treatment: two masked figures in black and burnt orange fill the foreground — one in a tall plague-era silhouette, one with a painted fan — while a blue Venice of domes, campanile and a gondola's prow glows behind them. The dates are part of the design, 8 February to 8 March 1990, which makes it feel like a poster lifted from a palazzo wall. It asks for a confident room: an entryway, a dining room, anywhere evening light lands. Dark wood deepens the richness, and 18×24 or larger lets the costume detail register instead of dissolving into pattern. Few travel subjects can match its ceremony.
