Food & Drink posters

Kitchens deserve art that understands them. This collection is a menu of pleasures: herbs and market vegetables, coffee rituals, wine and cocktail culture, bakery mornings and the graphic charm of old food advertising. The guiding rule is appetite — if a print makes the room feel warmer, tastier and more gathered-around, it belongs. Small sizes do heroic work here: 5×7s and 8×10s fill the awkward gaps between shelves, windows and cabinets where kitchens always need life, while a confident 16×20 or 18×24 above a dining table sets the tone for every meal under it. Bright, graphic pieces take black frames and busy rooms in their stride; the softer, illustrative end prefers wood, especially in breakfast nooks and coffee corners. One caution from experience of the eye, if not the stove: hang your favourite where you can see it from the cook's position. Kitchens are theatres, and the cook deserves a good seat.

How this collection is chosen: Appetite first — prints that make a kitchen feel cooked-in and a dining room feel like the best table in the house.
