Adachi Museum Koi Art Print

The Adachi Museum of Art in Shimane is famous less for its galleries than for the garden framed by its windows — repeatedly ranked Japan's finest — and this design answers that reputation with pop confidence: a two-by-two grid in which black and white koi swap places across orange and teal panels, the museum's name set in English and in gold kanji along the base. It is graphic first and serene second, so it enlivens rather than calms a room. Hang it where a real window competes — beside plants, over low, still furniture — in a black frame at 12×18 or larger, and consider it the extrovert of the koi shelf.
