Adachi Museum Koi Wall Print Living Room

A single orange-and-white koi turns downward through black water, past green lily-pad shapes and one orange sun disc. The lettering names the Adachi Museum of Art in Shimane, Japan — a real museum as famous for its gardens, repeatedly ranked among Japan's finest, as for its paintings — and the flat graphic style owes as much to travel posters as to Japanese woodblock. The pale wood finish echoes the museum-poster presentation and keeps the dark water from weighing the wall down. Hang it large, 18×24 in, in a living room where its green can answer houseplants, or pair it small with the Eikando koi design for a two-pond conversation across a hallway.
